SHIVA
Shiva is one of the God’s in the Hindu triumvirate. The triumvirate consists of three gods who are responsible for the creation, upkeep and destruction of the world.
Brahma is the creator of the universe. Vishnu is the preserver of it. Shiva’s role is to destrop the universe in order to re-create it.
His powers of destruction and recreation are used to destroy the illusion and imperfections of this world, and with it open the way for a beneficial change. Therefore, this destruction is a constructive one.
Shiva is known to have many aspects, 8 different archetypes in one manifestation. To name a few of them, he is an ascetic, a yogi, a lover, a master of the consciousness, etc.
It is Shiva’s relationship with his wife, Parvati which brings him balance.
